About Us

Knitty Possum is the joint creative endeavour of Rikki, a compulsive knitter from Australia and Lukas, a scale model builder from the Czech Republic.

       

Back in our twenties we bonded over a mutual love of travel our 'uncool' hobbies, and now years later we are finally working together to create our own hand-dyed yarns inspired by nature, history and our adventures.

These days we live in the Blue Mountains just outside Sydney, with our two rescues, Chloe - a seven year old Labrador x Kelpie and Tinkerbell - a three year old Domestic Shorthair.

       

You might see them on Instagram all over the yarn that Rikki uses for her personal knitting, but don't worry we keep everything in the shop away from them. That being said, we are a small home based business, so if you have animal allergies we do not recommend you purchasing our yarn.

We aim to keep our little online shop stocked up with our regular colourways, but if something you like is out of stock, doesn't have enough for your project, or you would like it on another yarn base, please get in touch and we will arrange for a custom order.
